My Approach

Collaborative

I believe in client driven care (because you are the expert on your own experience!) and tailoring skills to meet your specific needs. In session, this can look like: practicing self advocacy and setting boundaries, processing emotions through Internal Family Systems and parts work, challenging internalized oppression and implicit bias, shifting unhelpful patterns that keep you stuck, identifying your unique strengths and interests, sharing real life examples of how to apply skills, and working together to find ways of being that work WITH your values instead of against them.

Liberation Focused

So many of my clients have been failed by oppressive systems and my goal is to help folks build community and practice ways of being that improve their quality of life. As a therapist, I value harm reduction, fat liberation, sex positivity, cultural humility, and dismantling systems that contribute to stress, burnout, and trauma. I also support prison abolition, mutual aid, community care, immigrant rights, indigenous sovereignty, and approaching therapy through a decolonized lens.
